General design guidelines and instructions:

• Maximum 5 colours horizontally (around the sock)
• Maximum 7 colours on the whole design
• Black and white are considered colors
• No possibility to place patterns on the cuff, heel and toes – need to be solid colors
  Please note that left edge of the design links with the right edge to form a sock – designs should be continous on either side of the canvas for a seamless appearance
• There shouldn't be any tonal transitions - only 5 colors in one row allowed
• Submission of this design template is not mandatory. Other templates or sketches are permitted

Why pixels?

• Final production file we need for knitting a sock is bitmap (.bmp) with size 168 pixels x 430 pixels (cuff, heel and toes not included here)
• In general one pixel on a design represents one stitch that knitting machine makes and ca. 1 mm on the sock
• Bitmap file is not mandatory, we accept designs in any form: PDF, jpg, etc. and we will convert into bitmap accordingly

What about colors?

• the colours on the sock come not from the graphic design, but from the spools of cotton that are physically inserted into the knitting machines during the production of the socks
• you can use the cotton color catalogue and choose the right thread colours by yourself
• or leave it to us - we will choose colours of the cotton based on your graphic design

Socks with cardboard labels/tags

As standard, we sew labels to the socks - cardboard tags that fasten each pair together. You can put your logo and graphics on the label. The label can be printed with full color or printed in black on brown eco/kraft paper. Holes can be drilled in the label for hanging the socks on a hook. The labels are attached to the socks using thread, not unsightly plastic bones.

Then we pack the socks in polybags of 10 or 50 pairs and then in carton boxes.

On request we can also pack each pair in a polybag.

Gift box with your own print

The socks can also be packaged in decorative boxes with your own print. The boxes, like the labels, can be made of white cardboard with full colour print or brown eco cardboard with black print. A box holding 1 pair measures 10 x 10 x 3 cm. Write to us to get a quote (depends on quantity) and to receive a template to prepare the graphic design of the box. 

Agree on a completion date - the whole process usually takes about 3 weeks

• Once the 3D visualisation is approved, we will plan the production of your socks
• Before, however, we will ask for a prepayment. In the case of billing to a company, we will ask for a 50% prepayment based on the proforma sent, in the case of billing to a natural person or comapny located outside of the EU, we will ask for a 100% prepayment. 
• In the meantime, we coordinate printing of your personalised labels
• Please note - there is usually a small overproduction of socks in the production process. We reserve the right to deliver (and bill) few pairs more than ordered, this will be a maximum of 5 pairs more per one socks size. Please let us know if you do not agree to accept extra pairs
