Autumn Has Arrived. What Should You Wear on Your Feet When the Leaves Start Falling? 🍂
Let’s be honest — autumn starts long before the calendar says it does.
It starts when you leave home in the morning and have to go back for a jacket. When, for the first time in months, you order something hot instead of something cold. When you realize in the evening that it is already dark, even though it was only “just 7 PM”.
And when cinnamon rolls start appearing in the windows of your local bakery, while cafés everywhere begin promoting their own version of Pumpkin Spice Latte.
That’s when you know. Summer is over.
We’re not complaining. Autumn has plenty going for it. You can curl up under a blanket without feeling guilty, pull that one favorite sweater out of the wardrobe, and go for long walks without melting in thirty-degree heat.
It is also finally time to start putting together your autumn wardrobe. And one of its most underrated essentials is socks. Because if autumn has its own baked treats, coffee, playlists and weather, why shouldn’t it have its own pair of socks?
At Spox Sox, we have a few ideas. It all depends on what kind of autumn lover you are...
If Cinnamon Is What Makes Autumn Official… ☕🤎
Some people know autumn has arrived with the very first bite of a cinnamon roll.
All it takes is the taste of this sweet treat, the aroma of steaming coffee (Pumpkin Spice, perhaps?) and that moment when you can sit at your favorite café or at home and simply slow down for a while.
If that sounds familiar, you are probably an autumn coffee-and-cinnamon lover.
And if that’s you, you need the right socks.
Coffee and Cinnamon Rolls are separate pairs of socks, but they could easily meet at the same cozy autumn table. One brings back atmosphere of a favorite café, while the other brings the scent of freshly baked, cinnamon-dusted rolls.
Colorful, full of little details and, of course, mismatched — because why wear two identical socks when each one can tell its own story?
And if you would rather choose a classic homemade apple pie than a cinnamon roll, we also have Apple Pie. Here, too, each sock looks a little different: one features a distinctive lattice crust, while the other is covered with red apples, cinnamon and a slice of still-warm pie.
Apples, cinnamon and buttery pastry — it’s hard to imagine a cozier combination for chilly days.
The Pumpkin-Loving Autumn Girl 🎃
We can’t talk about autumn without mentioning pumpkins! First they appear in cafés and market stalls, then they start decorating homes and balconies, and once you see them absolutely everywhere, you know autumn has truly settled in.
If seeing the first pumpkin of the season immediately makes you want to take a photo, cook a warming pumpkin soup, order something pumpkin-spiced or simply celebrate the fact that this time of year is finally here — you are probably a pumpkin-loving autumn fan.
Pumpkins are a design that fits this mood perfectly. Our socks are colorful, a little rustic and don’t even need Halloween to have their moment. Although, admittedly, the closer we get to the end of October, the more perfectly they fit everything going on around us. żeby mieć swoje pięć minut. Choć trzeba przyznać, że im bliżej końca października, tym bardziej pasują do wszystkiego, co dzieje się wokół.
The Halloween-Loving Autumn Girl 👻
First come the pumpkins, then the first decorations appear, and a moment later someone asks: “Have you decided on your costume yet?”.
For some, Halloween is just one day on the calendar. For others, it is a pretty good excuse to pull something black out of the wardrobe, light pumpkin-shaped lanterns and pretend for a while that those enormous cobwebs in the corner are actually part of the interior design. pumpkin-shaped lanterns and pretend for a while that those enormous cobwebs in the corner are actually part of the interior design.
If you belong to the second group, you probably already know that pumpkins feel right at home in autumn. And they look even better on socks.
Halloween is for those who like autumn with a little darkness, a good dose of humor and anything even slightly spooky.
Trick or treat? We’re choosing both. And adding a pair of socks.
The Mushroom-Loving Autumn Girl 🍄
Colorful leaves, crisp air, a damp forest and a walk that was supposed to last 30 minutes but somehow turns into two hours. If hearing the word “mushrooms” makes you think of treasures on the forest floor rather than supermarket champignons, you are most likely an autumn mushroom lover. And you probably know that mushroom season is one of the best reasons to head into the forest in autumn.
And if, instead of looking down at the ground for porcini, boletes or chanterelles, you would rather look at your feet and keep a little mushroom magic with you wherever you go, mushroom socks could be your autumn must-have.
And what if you know absolutely nothing about mushrooms? No worries — the ones on your socks definitely won’t hurt you!
Following the Forest’s Residents 🌲
But the forest is about much more than mushrooms. There are deer, wild boars, squirrels and all the other woodland residents you can encounter on a long autumn walk.
If the first colorful leaves are your signal that it’s time to head into the forest, you are probably an autumn forest lover.
Maybe you’ll even spot a deer on your walk? Deer socks from Spox Sox capture the calm atmosphere of an autumn forest — a little green, a little brown, with woodland plants and berries. And if you’re lucky, perhaps a wild boar will dart between the trees. You can find them on our socks, too. Wild boars roam through the coniferous forest, surrounded by ferns and acorns. Perfect for anyone who would rather follow a forest trail than walk down a busy city street. Wild boars roam through the coniferous forest, surrounded by ferns and acorns. On the way, don’t forget to look up. Squirrels have plenty to do in autumn — collecting supplies, hiding acorns and getting ready for winter. And if you would rather have them with you than simply spot them in the forest, you can find them on our socks, too.
And when the walk ends and the day slowly turns into night, other woodland residents appear — Owls.
Maybe owl socks will keep you company during your next evening with a book, a movie or… another hour without sleep — just as a true night owl should.
For Those Who Spend Autumn Outdoors 🏔️
Not everyone is a “blanket, tea and TV series” kind of person.
There are also people for whom the first colorful leaves mean: “So, shall we go to the mountains?”.
Autumn can be one of the best seasons for hiking in the mountains. It’s cooler, quieter and definitely less crowded than summer. Leaves crunch underfoot, the air turns crisp and the trees slowly change color. Sometimes all you need is a backpack, comfortable shoes and a few free hours to turn an ordinary autumn day into a little adventure.
If this is how you like to spend autumn, our Mountain Hikes socks can keep up with you. Their designs feature landscapes, forest trails and mountain paths that remind you there is always another road waiting somewhere.
And maybe that’s exactly what we love most about autumn...
Because it can tempt you to hide under a blanket just as easily as it can get you out of the house when the world outside looks truly beautiful.
No matter which version of autumn you choose, one thing is certain — it’s worth experiencing it your way. From the first cinnamon roll to the last autumn walk. And, of course, preferably in the right pair of socks.
